The journey of Dr. A. K. Gupta began in the small village of Majalta, where life was simple and resources were limited.

There was nothing extraordinary about the background, except one belief:

In 1983, he joined Government Medical College Aurangabad to pursue MBBS, followed by MS in General Surgery, completed in 1991.

These years instilled:

From 1992 to 1994, he trained at Breach Candy Hospital, gaining exposure to world-class surgical systems.

An opportunity to work abroad in Muscat offered a promising future.

In 1994, upon returning, opportunities were limited. He began working in Pathankot, performing surgeries for patients from Kathua.

Encouraged by their trust, he took a bold step.

On 25th September 1995, he established a 5-bedded rented nursing home at Shaheedi Chowk, Kathua.

The early years were marked by financial constraints, limited infrastructure, and continuous challenges. But he persisted with:

Over 31 years of dedicated healthcare service in Kathua, Dr. Gupta has built an extraordinary surgical legacy.

His surgical expertise spans:

• 30,000+ laparoscopic cholecystectomies (gallbladder surgeries)

In 2002, the hospital shifted to Kalibari, Kathua, expanding to a 50-bedded facility, later growing into a 100-bedded hospital.
